Hey all...
I was wondering.... For this event on Monday (8/24) at the SRC... It says and I quote "Lodge will be convened on the First Degree for the purpose of Masonic Education". Does this mean that It will be necessary for someone to be there to vouch for me? As a fairly newly EA I'm not quite sure if I would? The term "lodge convened" tells me YES I would need someone; yet the term "Masonic Education" tells me that it might to an open to the public event. Not sure, any info would be greatly appreciated, Thanks!
Well, just to leave a follow-up note…. I’d like to thank WM Randy Brill and everyone at San Diego Lodge #35 for putting on this event!!! It went great. My Candidate Coach from Heartland Lodge attended to vouch for me; as well as a friend from Unity Lodge whom brought another EA from his lodge…. I look forward to attending the next one. I only wishg I had known about this series earlier ;-(. Someday more people will know about this great website and won’t ever have to miss a great event like this one.
P.S. – A HUGE Thank you to Steve Laurvick and everyone else involved in maintaining this site!
It was pleasure to have you and the others attend. It is intended to have all who are interested join us. We feel that there is a desire for Masonic educaton. Our incoming Master and the rest of our line will continue to provide this as long as there is interest. We are also open to any comments and request. If there is something about Masonry that our Brothers would like to learn, we will make an effort to provide it.
Don’t forget Masonic Informaton Night at the SRC. Bring someone and your dinner is free! Just make sure you make a reservation.

As the other EA attending, I found the night to be informative and entertaining. I would like to know, as I have a close friend who is a single father of two young boys, whether or not he should bring them to the Masonic Information Night, and if so should they be paid for? They are very cute, but at 4 & 6 I would hardly consider them worthy or well qualified (lol!) a I would their father. Also: when, and at what time is the dinner, as I cannot seem to find it on the calendar.
Sincerely,
-Eric Turner

I’m sorry I have not been on here for a couple of days, but to answer your questions. I don’t know.:)
I think it would be a little confining to kids having to be on their best behavior. Dinner I believe starts at 6:00. The Scottish Rite has a website that will show. Also, you can call the SRC office and someone will be able to assist you. I believe reservations are also needed.
