Peace. We all want it don’t we?

Life can get crazy in so many ways.

What an awesome and excellent book. Inspirational books can be hard to read because they require an open mind, honesty, and work. I usually do not finish an inspirational book and new ones just gather dust on my bookshelf.  In Pursuit of Peace is one of the best books I have read. I finished it in just a month’s time. I took my time to read it and I even highlit and marked throughout the book. It is now amongst my books of great reference. I know I will need to reinfore the lessons. I love Joyce’s honesty. She admits what are/were her challenges and what is taking her to over come them. This book along with Managing Your Emotions are the only books of hers I have finished and both are good. I recommend this book for people who are just plain tired of trying to be happy and live a joyous life. In Pursuit of Peace is an excellent book on the road to peace. Life is too short and peace makes the ride easier. Joyce Meyer is authoritative in her writing because she struggled with the very issues discussed in this book before learning how to appropriate the peace of God she says is available to us as Christ followers. In fact, she is honest enough to point out certain areas that are still challenging to her. Knowing the principles is the beginning-applying them is where the peace activation kicks in.

She begins this study with the issue of being able to recognize what you can change and what you can’t change and acting on that discernment. Some of the very practical matters she discusses is that you have to take care of yourself if you’re going to get along with other people. That includes something as basic as rest. I found her discussion on knowledge not being all its cracked up to be to really hit the spot. She pointed out that in some situations it is just better not to know certain things, for example if someone is saying something negative about you, it’s better just to not know.

Get this and find ways to keep your PEACE
